Our one-night stay was centered around visiting the Iron Age Hill Fort, which was just a quick trip away. The room was bright and tastefully decorated, and we particularly enjoyed the delicious meals. both dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations in taste and presentation. One of the highlights was the cozy seating area by the log burner, perfect for unwinding after a satisfying meal. Although the traffic noise from the front-facing room was a bit disturbing, it was still a pleasant experience overall.

The breakfast was a real treat, with delightful portions and steaming cups of tea. I also loved the accommodating staff who managed to whip me up an evening meal after hours. now that's hospitality! Plus, the spacious parking made it easy-peasy to pop in and out.
While the room was warm upon arrival (I struggled with the window), and a suitcase rack would have been handy, a little dust behind the headboard didn’t overshadow the overall cleanliness. Everything still sparkled.

The room felt well maintained with a good level of cleanliness. The meals managed impressive flavor without breaking the bank, especially noteworthy for dinner.
Heating in the room struggled to keep up, making it uncomfortably warm upon arrival. The sound from the busy road outside penetrated through the walls, along with noise from guests walking by in the hallway. the size of the bathroom proved to be quite cramped, contracting the sense of space in an already small room.

Charming overall aesthetic with cozy seating areas.
The check-in process was incredibly frustrating. Despite arriving well within the designated hours, it took a considerable amount of time to find anyone at the front desk for assistance. the service during dinner was not only slow but almost dismissive, making it feel like a burden to be there rather than a comfortable dining experience. The lack of drink options post-dinner when we inquired was a major disappointment.

I stayed in Double Room, 4 for one night. The bed was super comfy with nice pillows, and the room was really clean and nicely decorated. No noise from the street, which was a pleasant surprise. They had a stocked fridge, which was a great late-night snack option. The bathroom was decent-sized too, and the shower was nice. Just wish there were more power points available!

comfortable stay but a few hiccups
The meals were quite impressive! ! Both breakfast and dinner featured generous portions with great flavor. The airiness of the room provided a pleasant environment. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden area, which offered a peaceful retreat.
The check-in process was somewhat confusing and could use better signage.
